Conference Overview
The size of Nepali professionals in the US has surpassed critical mass and continues to grow year over year. Silicon Valley (California) is one of the premier technology hubs with a vast pool of remarkable professional talent in the Nepali Diaspora. This is a momentous opportunity for CAN-USA to leverage and advance the sharing of knowledge and experience through a visible and impactful conference aimed at expanding the boundaries of professional and technological developments.
The conference theme is ‘Technology and Entrepreneurship’ spread across a series of auditorium- style sessions to facilitate audience participation and interaction.

Hear from distinguished panelists about the state of technology (Internet backbone, E-governance, E-commerce etc.) in Nepal and the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead in transferring technology to Nepal.

Learn about environmental issues and how such risks can be transformed into ideas of opportunities that can make a difference. This session will be after the Green Forum where panelists will discuss how green-living can be achieved in the changing global landscape and what this means in Nepal’s development context.
Business Forum: Entrepreneurship in the age of Globalization (Nepal Business Network and CAN-USA)
What does entrepreneurship mean in a world where boarders are vanishing, collaborative communications is but a click of the mouse away, virtualization is for real and ideas travel at the speed of light? What does it mean to bring global perspective to innovation, marketing and delivery of new products and services that enrich lives and not just improve the bottom line? These are some questions the forum hopes to address through a panel of distinguished speakers who have had the success, attempts or simply just the business plans to bring a global perspective to entrepreneurship.

The Nepal Brand
Listen and/or participate in a brainstorming session to develop and fan out the Nepali brand. Leading the session will be distinguished speakers from different professional tracks. The discussion between the speakers and the audience will be moderated. The focus will be on the importance and methods to create and sustain the Nepali brand.
